Dr Loh, our doctor is a General Practitioner with unique sub-special interests focusing in Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT), Allergy, Dermatology and Men’s Health. He obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Monash University from Melbourne and postgraduate qualification awarded by the Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS) in the United Kingdom. Furthermore, he obtained his Diploma in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck (DO-HNS) by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and Postgraduate Diploma in Practical Dermatology (PgDip Derm) by the University of Cardiff. He has also obtained his certificate in Men’s health in 2018.

Allergy testing can be performed via blood tests or skin prick test.

Allergy blood test takes approximately 1-2 weeks for the results to be ready after laboratory processing.
Skin prick test procedure takes approximately 20-30 minutes and you will be able to obtain a copy of the results on the same day.
When skin prick test is performed correctly, it is relatively reliable. However, it is performed by doctors with invariably slight deviation in their methods and skills. Therefore make sure you go to experienced doctors for your test.
Yes, it is possible that you have a negative skin prick test, yet develop allergy later on in life. This is known as false negative. This might happen due to:
